This history of this Charleston hotel dates back to 1840, when it was built as a cotton warehouse. The Anchorage Inn, located in the French Quarter of the city’s historic district, is a block away from the harbour and steps from the historic attractions, museums, antique shopping and fine dining that make the city of Charleston one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. The structure had many commercial uses over the years and opened as an inn in 1991, and was restored in 2006.
